Department of Science and Humanities

This department gives the basic principles of Applied Physics, Mathematical Applications & Methods and basic communication skills of English, Presentation and Soft Skills to help the students of technical education for their future.

Mathematics: The word "Engineering" refers to the systematic analysis and devel opment of measurable physical data, using applied Mathematical, Scientific and technical principles, to yield tangible end products which can be made, produced and constructed. This Department gives the solid Knowledge of basic principles, methods, results, and clear view of engineering Mathematics.

English: At present the World has become a global village having no boundaries and technology is with its fast pace in it. Communication through a linked language has become a necessity. Communicating in English has become a necessity but not a fashion. Several surveys prove today most of the educationists like engineers; technologists; professionals have no effective communication skills in spite of having sound technical knowledge in their concern subjects. Hence Communicative English Learning has been introduced at engineering level which is most trustworthy aspect of modern education.

Engineering Physics:Physics is the origin of all engineering branches. All the principles learnt in physics are going to apply in different branches of engineering & technology. Engineering physics is a general term, which is intended for a particularly technological or practical use and it is distinguished from "Physics" by a subtle combination of factors such as the motivation, attitude and the nature of the relationship to the science & technology. Engineering physics is rooted in the fundamental truths and basic concepts of the physical sciences but is concerned with the utilization of these scientific principles in practical devices and systems. The Department of Engineering Physics brings the student into contact with activity in several technical subjects like Optics, circuit analysis, electronic devices and circuits, electromagnetic fields etc. The Department deals with mainly Optics, solid state physics, semi conductors, super conductors, LASERS and Nano Science& Technologies, which drives the students to the technical areas as mentioned above.

Engineering Chemistry : In today's society chemistry is greatly involved in the world of engineering. Whether it is aerospace, mechanical, environmental or other engineering fields the makeup of substances is always a key factor which must be known. Engineering today has morphed from only dealing with the physical aspect of the field into the theory behind the field. All engineering fields have unique bonds with the chemistry world. Engineering chemists differ from all other engineers because they bring forward chemical solutions to engineering problems. Their expertise is most often applied to environmental development, in the design of processes, and in the design of electronic and structural materials.

Engineering Chemistry is a program that focuses on the general application of chemical principles to the analysis and evaluation of engineering problems, such as development of electronic materials, solid-state science and technology, polymers, ceramics, and biomaterials. Includes instruction in physical chemistry, organic chemistry, materials science, chemical processes and systems, chemical reaction engineering, biochemical engineering, engineering mathematics, classical and modern physics and computer science.
