What is electrical & electronics engineering?

It is an Engineering discipline concerned with the application of electricity and electromagnetism. The reach of electrical engineering extends from the nanoscale level of integrated electronics to terrestrial-scale power grids; from single-transistor devices to networks comprising a billion nodes. Today it is almost impossible to find a single machinery or system that has not taken advantage of electrical devices.
By studying electrical & electronics engineering, one will be able to understand the significant developments in modern technology and be prepared to play a role in shaping its future.
The main areas are Electrical Machines, Electrical Power Generation, transmission and distribution, Power Electronics, Microprocessors, Control systems, Instrumentation, High Voltage engineering, Neural Networks and Fuzzy systems etc…

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The faculty of the Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department at L.I.E.T is incepted in the year 2008. It is dedicated to the continued development of further innovations through its program of academic instruction. The department offers 4 years undergraduate academic program with annual intake of 60 students which is designed to prepare the student for a career in an industry or as an entrepreneur by providing her or him with a thorough foundation of the fundamental concepts and analytical tools of contemporary electrical engineering.
At present, the department deals the first year students of different branches with the theoretical subjects like Electrical Circuit Analysis, Network Analysis & Basic Electrical Engineering & practical subjects like Electrical & Electronics Lab. Two aspired faculty members are involved as per the requirement of the course work & extending the efforts in imparting personality skills for overall development of the students throu
