With the discovery of electron the electrical engineering has started a revolution to put greater to think towards the golden age of electronics. The other leading scientific invention being the telephone has changed the way the world communicate and starting to emerge as major engineering on its own. Electronic devices equipped with embedded communications penetrate every aspect of modern life. Communications is of major importance as modern society is increasingly reliant on the communication of information, whether by mobile phone, TV, radio, or the internet etc. This degree provides a solid foundation in the essentials of this modern and future technology. The rate of growth in the field of electronics and communication engineering has been unprecedented and likely to grow more and more. Being an evergreen field, it has great potential to create technocrats to cater not only locally but globally.

Students on this degree programmer follow a largely common foundation course which covers the basic principles of electronics, communications and electrical engineering, together with relevant mathematics and associated laboratory and design work. The academic program is designed to give the students both the theoretical and practical background in all frontier areas of Electronics and Communication. Students are encouraged to join professional societies with a view to improve their communication skills and technical knowledge. The department has well qualified and competent faculty with M.Tech and B.Tech degrees in electronics and communication. The faculty is also involved in R& D activities, presenting papers and participating in the various technical seminars and continuing education programs.
