The Central Library, established in June 2008, is a proud partner in the institute’s march towards its vision playing a vital role in acquisition, organization and dissemination of knowledge. As a knowledge hub of LENDI, it offers a package of services, an ambience that is extremely conductive for assimilation and creation of new knowledge. The main thrust of the library continues to be the improvement of the quality of services and facilities, achieving higher degree of user’s satisfaction and modernization of its activities and operations.

    The Central Library is totally Air Conditioned, presently covers a total user area of 879.36 sq. Mtrs, with a seating capacity of 100. We are maintaining Text book section, Circulation section, Reference books, Journals, News papers & Magazines, previous question papers, reprography services and Digital library.

LIBRARY RULES AND REGULATIONS


  1. WORKING HOURS:

      Timings : on all working days    8.00 A.M to 6.00 P.M

  2. ADMISSION TO THE LIBRARY:

    1. Cell Phones are NOT allowed into the library.
    2. Students should compulsorily for all to enter the library.
    3. All should enter Certain Basic details  in the register provided  at the entrance  gate before entering the library.
    4. Printed materials and personal belongings such as, books, bags, etc.,   or any other    material should not be carried      into the library. They should be kept in the shelves provided at the entrance of the library; if they are carried inside the library, they will   be confiscated and   treated as library property.
    5. Outsiders should have prior permission from the principal to enter or use the college library.
  3. RULES & REGULATIONS:

    1. Utmost Silence must be maintained in the Library. Indiscipline may lead to disciplinary   action and the library privileges to the candidate may be withdrawn.
    2. The Librarian may take appropriate action under intimation to the principal on the member found misbehaving in the library.
    3. The infringement of the library rules shall make the student forfeit the privileges of membership of the library, in addition to the action takes as per the disciplinary   rules of the college.
    4. Students shall not misplace books from their positions in the racks.
    5. Students must satisfy themselves about the physical condition of   the books before borrowing. The last borrower shall be held responsible for any damage or mutilation noticed at the time of return of books.
    6. Borrowed Book details should be entered in Issue Register at the time of issue.  Borrowed books are not permitted to be taken inside the library unless  they are   to be returned.
    7. Books borrowed should be returned in good condition and before the     due date, failing which, fine will be levied as per the rules of the library. After one month library membership   will be cancelled for one semester.
    8. Reference books which are available in library as a single copy and periodicals are not issued on loan.
    9. Students are advised not to take more than one copy of the same book.
  4. LATE RETURN OF BOOKS:

    1. Fine will be one Rs.1/- per day after one month fine will be Rs.50/- or more. It will be based on committee decision.
    2. If the borrowed book is damaged or lost, the student shall be liable to replace the new book or pay double the price of the book immediately, along with the fine and Replacement charges.
    3. The Librarian, at his discretion, may not reissue the book to the same student if the book is returned late
    4. Books should not be returned on the same day/date of issue.

USE OF DIGITAL LIBRARY


  1. The students necessarily need to produce the College ID cards to the official in charge of the user’s attendance record and enter their ID particulars in the logbook before working on the system.
  2. The resources of the digital library are meant for academic and research purpose only. Using for chat, messenger, movie site, music sites, newspaper sites, matrimonial sites etc will not be permitted. Violation of these provisions/misuse of the facility will be viewed seriously and suitable disciplinary action will be taken against such users.
  3. The users are permitted to use the system with proper care, any Consultation   and   technical help, can be sought from the Librarian. No person other than   the authorized should use the System.
  4. Users are not allowed to send or receive E-mails from the library.
  5. Users are suppose to shutdown the system and switch off the monitor before leaving the Digital Library room
  6. Penalty ranging from Rs.500/- to 1,000/- will be levied on students Using the net facility for other than educational purpose.
  7. Maximum time for browsing is restricted to 30 minutes.
