Introduction:

If education, and particularly Higher Education, is to serve as the lever to the great surge forward of the Indian nation, the scourge of ragging which corrodes the vitals of our campuses needs to be curbed.

Ragging is an evil practice in higher education. Ragging has ruined the lives and careers of innumerable innocent teenagers, over decades.

Researchers and experts have shown the total lameness of the excuses that are often put forward to justify ragging. Almost every institution and others concerned have so far turned seriously towards to the menace of ragging.

It is well-known that the trauma inflicted on the tender minds by the abuses in ragging often leads to long term psychological problems.

Hence Lendi puts an iron foot on the practice of the menace of Ragging.

Ragging Mantra @Lendi:

We encourage the students by saying "your participation makes a difference" in curbing the menace of Ragging in the education. In the process we bring out a unique pledge in the name of Ragging Mantra.

'No more ragging, no more torture, no more deaths...
In friendship, respect and fun, May the New Indian Youth Arise'

……....… We all say no to Ragging@Lendi

Conclusion:

Several Committees to go in to the question of Ragging, the issue has been the topic for serious research, Institutions of higher education are also bound by the directions/ guidelines of the Courts, however, the problem has not been abated. We have to look into the reasons for the problem of ragging continuing to persist in our campuses. We cannot claim that we have fully understood all aspects of the constraints that need to overcome. Still Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology which may have a reasonable potential to change the situation comes forward to lead its student community to come out of the endangered situations of Ragging.
